Ryan was far ahead on the scorecards going into the final round. In the 10th, Tomasello floored him with a straight to the head. Ryan rose quickly, and later lost his footing and slid to the floor, as he was barely off the floor, Tomasello hit him with a left uppercut, and a finishing right hand. Many in the crowd, felt that Ryan was fouled.
