This important bout was covered by the Baltimore Sun in the article “Davis Bests Harry Baker; Happy Given Bout On Points—Rogers Beats The Newsboy,” Baltimore Sun, pg. 17, June 29, 1912. Hollandersky was said to be clearly outclassed, and was reported to have made a good showing in only the fifth round. The fight occurred only days before Al Rogers defeated Honey Mellody at the Empire Theatre in Baltimore. Hollandersky had tried to schedule with Melody himself through an article challenging him in New London's The Day pg. 10, on September 13, 1910 in the article, "Abe Issues Defi to Knocker's Club", but Mellody never replied.

Rogers was easily one of the best welterweight boxers Hollandersky met in his career.

The fifteen round bout was advertised in "Tonight's Fight Card", The Baltimore Sun, Baltimore, Maryland, pg. 16, 28 June 1912.
