Frankie Wolfram 125 lbs beat Everette Rightmire 126 lbs by NWS in round 10 of 10

  • Date: 1934-12-18
  • Location: Auditorium, Sioux City, Iowa, USA
  • Referee: Ted Zanfes

Rightmire began the fight by boxing Wolfram, scoring with his right hand. After a hard exchange in the 2nd along the ropes, Rightmire went to the canvas, albeit not from a punch. From this point forward the two engaged largely in a slugging match. This turned the bout in Wolfram's favor, as his body attack wore down Rightmire. Wolfram had Rightmire in trouble in the 4th round, and hurt him again with a right hand in the 6th round. Wolfram was the aggressor for much of the bout, as Rightmire was more defensive, though he did exchange at close range at time with Wolfram, particularly in the 10th round.

Rightmire's manager Tommy O'Loughlin claimed after the bout that Rightmire injured his left thumb early in the bout.
