The one-time idol of all Albina staggered and reeled about the armory last night for seven sangulnary rounds to give the roaring populace another Roman Holiday. He sank like a stricken ox finally under a murderous right, shock punch to the stomach deliverd by Harry Dillon of Winnipeg, and when the bell stopped the referee's count at the end of the seventh he had to be dragged to his corner. He was still out when the gong sounded the call for the eighth, so under the rules Dillon was declared the winner by a technical knockout in that round." Portland Oregonian Dillon and Yeager were originally scheduled to have met on June 1st, but Yeager pulled out because of hand problems.
