Joe Brown 134 lbs lost to Ricardo Medrano 135 lbs by DQ in round 10 of 10

"What happened was this: In that final session, Joe, 134, had knocked Medrano's mouthpiece out and was pummeling the 20-year-old Texan unmercifully when local light heavyweight Benny Bowers leaped into the ring to give pal Richie a hand. Through the bedlam that followed, referee Mel Barker finally chased the ebullient Bowers out of the ring, then waved the fighters together. 'The hell with that,' Brown said. 'I been a pro for 18 years an' anytime anybody gets in the ring, the fight's over!' With that he stomped away, leaving referee Barker no alternative but to award the bout to the surprised - and somewhat groggy - Medrano." (The Ring)
