"Grimm was badly outclassed and was knocked down at least a dozen times. By constantly staying down the limit every time he was knocked to the canvas, however, Grimm managed to last the six rounds. So far Grimm has never showed any ability to fight, but he can stand unlimited punishment without being knocked out. An eminent physician who examined him after Fitzsimmons had gotten through punching him gave it as his opinion that Grimm was deficient in nervous development to such an extent that a blow, however severe, was not transmitted to his brain as in normal persons, consequently it was almost an impossibility for him to be knocked out."
