Kaheaku who was leading going into the final round, knocked Brown down early in the 10th round with a right to the jaw for an eight-count. In the waning seconds of the bout, Brown who was being pounded lashed out with a left hand that landed squarely on Kaheaku's jaw. Kaheaku went down, and rose at nine, but as he was being motioned forward by Minn, he fell back into the ropes, leading to the referee stopping the bout with five seconds left in the contest.
