The two fought an even 1st round in which both men were rocked. Actis knocked Rowsey down for a nine-count in the 2nd round with a right hand. Rowsey got up in bad shape, and was floored again for another nine-count. Actis then nailed Rowsey with a barrage of rights and lefts that floored him for a third time. Rowsey's corner promptly threw in the towel, thought it did not appear that Rowsey could rise.
