From the Nevada State Journal: "Ernie Collins showed Nevada fight fans that he was ready for the best in the light-heavyweight ranks July 4, when he defeated Tommy Jordan, highly ranked heavyweight, in two slashing rounds. While the weights were announced as 168 pounds for Collins and 176 pounds for Jordan, most of the ringsiders put Jordan's weight at closer to 190 as he dwarfed his Indian opponent."
