From the Nevada State Journal: "Ernie Collins, Reno Indian who claims the Intermountain 175-pound championship, pulled himself off the floor twice here Monday night and then went on to win by a five-round knockout over Arcade 'Windmill' Pierce, wild-swinging Utah slugger. Collins was down for a nine-count in the first round and for a six-count again in the third. Pearce caught him with 'haymaker' rights, but in the fifth, the fast Indian caught Pearce with a volley of rights to the head and knocked him out."
