Al Tribuani 159 lbs beat Jimmy Moore 153 lbs by UD in round 6 of 6

A bitterly fought affair with scant regards for Marquis of Queensbury rules. Both fighters resorted to rough tactics that drew stern warnings from Referee Clark, especially after they had to be pulled apart after the bell had ended the fourth round. Some of the intensity of feeling that prevailed in the ring was carried to the spectators and fights broke out while this windup was in progress. Lou Ambers, Marty Servo, Lew Tendler, Benny Leonard, Tommy Loughran, promoter Herman Taylor and baseball's Danny Murtaugh attended. Some of the bitterness may have been attributed to Moore's two hard fought amateur losses to Tribuani who had defeated every rival he ever met in A. A. U. competition, even turning the tables on the few who gained decisions over him.
