Manz staggered Martinez with two rights in the 2nd round, but was unable to follow up. Martinez raised swelling on Manz's left eye in the 1st round, which would bother him over the remainder of the bout. Manz was cut over the right eye in the 7th round, and by the finish was bleeding over both eyes.
