In his Seattle debut, Dozier trounced Portillo, winning five of the six rounds. Dozier dominated the first round, and had Portillo hurt near the end of the round. Portillo had his best moment in the 2nd round when he staggered Dozier with a series of left hooks, Dozier closed strongly, however, to even the round. Over the final four rounds, Dozier had his way with Portillo, hitting him with an assortment of punches.
