Arnold scored the first knockdown of the fight 34 seconds in, when he knocked Streator down with a right uppercut for nine. Upon rising, Streator came up swinging, and "flustered" Arnold with two right hands to the jaw. Arnold fought back with body punches, and then scored a second knockdown with a right to the jaw, for an eight-count. Arnold swarmed all over Streator at this point, and then scored the knockout with a left hook to the jaw.
