The fight was even through eleven rounds. In the 12th round, Fraser went down from a body blow that appeared to possibly be low. One of the judges Buck Weaver and Bill Guimond believed the blow was low. However, the ringside physician found no evidence of a foul, and the decision was awarded to Gracio.
