Jones appeared to be a sure winner after five rounds, as he led in the bout, and landed the cleaner and harder blows. Jones shook Durso with a right to the jaw in the 6th round. Jones appeared to tire the rest of the way as Durso's body attack wore him down. Jones was distraught at the decision given to Durso, complaining that he won in the ring, and then challenging Durso to a fight in the dressing room, after leaving the ring.
