Spurlock was knocked down in the 1st round. Referee Mangold gave Walker the 1st, 6th, and 8th rounds by a wide margin; while awarding Spurlock the 2nd, 3rd, and 7th rounds by narrow margin. Spurlock was also given the 10th round, due to a low blow from Walker. This scoring resulted in a draw, per the Atlantic City Press.
