Barron came stroming out of his corner to begin the bout and stunned Thomas with a left-right. Barron attempted the same tactic to begin the second, but Thomas instead seized control of the fight with his longer reach and better skill. Barron came out agressively in the 4th round, throwing wildly with what he had left. Thomas stood his ground and pounded Barron for nearly two minutes before Barron collapsed from a combinaton of a right uppercut and exhaustion.
