Dick Ritchie 149 lbs beat Tommy Corbett 152 lbs by TKO at 2:55 in round 7 of 10

• Date: 1938-12-09
• Location: Coliseum, San Diego, California, USA
• Referee: Frankie Van

Ritchie knocked Corbett down with a right uppercut for a one-count. Several times in the bout Corbett stuck his head outside the ropes, in an attempt to avoid Ritchie's blows. After several warnings, referee Van eventually stopped the bout because of this. Ritchie had been a substitute for Herman (Bomber) Graves.
