Bob Woodall, 208, Boston kayoed Coley Wallace, 206, New York at 45 seconds of the 10th round. Woodall caught Wallace with a tremendous right cross to the chin as Coley was coming in with a left hand lead. Wallace sank slowly forward and there was no need for a count. Wallace remained in the ring for some time as his handlers revived him before helping him to his dressing room.

Woodall's best previous round had been the seventh when he caught Wallace with a left-right combination to the head that drove Coley halfway across the ring to his corner and knocked out his mouthpiece.
