"The bout was brief and one-sided. Thompson forced Hart about the ring and shook him up several times from left hooks to the head in the opening round. Turkey cornered Hart early in the second heat and belabored him with both lefts and rights. A powerful left that landed on Hart's nose caused the big fellow to sink to the canvas (for the full count)." (The Ring, February 1950, page 42) Hart suffered a broken nose from the left that knocked him out. This appears to have been Al's last fight.
