According to the Atlantic City Press this was a bloody bout. Allen was cut badly under the right eye in the 3rd round. Allen would be knocked down in the 3rd and 4th rounds, while battling back to hurt D'Amico. Coming out for the 5th round, sensing he was going to be stopped on cuts, Allen went for the knockout of D'Amico, but was knocked down three times in the round, before the bout was stopped.
