(Nevada State Journal) However, Matty Matthews in The Ring, June 1934, page 59, said "Without doubt, Maxie beat Johnny Miler..". Pete Baird of the New Orleans Times-Picayune had the bout 5-3-2 for Rosenbloom, feeling that Rosenbloom landed the most punches and showed the better defense, with Miler being the aggressor.
