"After a low blow had been struck by Lenhart, in the eighth round, an agreement was reached between the two after talking over the new state boxing rules [effective June 8] that if both were on their feet at the finish, the result would be called a draw. Despite Lenhart's furious closing drive, both were on their feet at the end. The new state boxing rules require that in the event of an unintentional foul, disabling a boxer so he is unable to continue, they shall be rematched within two weeks." Everett Daily Herald. Although he had been fouled unintentionally by Lenhart, Rosenbloom chose to continue on, reportedly because he had future bouts scheduled elsewhere and could/did not want to come back to Tacoma to meet Lenhart again.
