The Pittston Gazette described this as a bad decision, as they gave Rosenbloom six rounds, with four even. Latzo rallied in the last two rounds, which they felt may have persuaded the judges.
The Wilkes-Barre Times-Leader felt that Latzo's margin was only by one round, noting Latzo's flourish in the last two rounds.
This bout had originally been scheduled for January 27th, but Latzo had been forced to postpone the match due to illness.
