The Cincinnati Enquirer gave Anderson six rounds, Rosenbloom three, and had one even. The Enquirer felt that Anderson outfought and outguessed Rosenbloom at every angle, but with the infighting, where Rosenbloom's weight gave him the advantage. Anderson set a fast pace from the start, and maintained it the whole way. Rosenbloom took the 3rd, 5th, and 8th rounds. Anderson's best round was the 6th, when his attack, particularly to the body, drove Rosenbloom to the ropes.
