According to the Portland Oregonian, Lomski outboxed Lenhart early, opening cuts over both of his eyes. In the 6th though Lenhart hurt Lomski badly with a right hand that turned the fight around. After that Lenhart outfought Lomski on the inside as the two traded back and forth. Lomski entered the ring with a black eye, left over from his bout with Wesley Ketchell.
