Johnny Higgins beat Young Harry Wills by PTS in round 4 of 4

• Date: 1934-02-22
• Location: Bachelors Club, Portland, Oregon, USA
• Referee: Kewpie Riley

According to the Portland Oregonian, Higgins was outboxed throughout the bout, until right before the bell when he floored Wills with a counter right to the jaw. The bell rang at the count of four, with Wills completely out. Referee Kewpie Riley apparently awarded Higgins the bout, on the strength of that one punch.
