Grand Rapids Press, Jan 30, 1932:The prelims failed to produce anything enough to cause any of the customers to whistle through their teeth. Frankie Misko took a six-round decision from Lyle Blain in what was billed as the semi-final. Misko was introduced as the middleweight champion of Michigan. He looked the part for a minute or so, but after that was good only in spots. Blain didn't look like the old Lyle. He spotted Misko four and one-half pounds, weighing in at 155 to Misko's 159 1/2, and this didn't help him either. Misko had Blain reeling several times, but couldn't floor him.
