Bryan Downey drew with Joe Anderson by NWS in round 10 of 10
- Date: 1926-09-01
- Location: Tacoma Bowl, Dayton, Kentucky, USA
- Referee: Lou Bauman
The Cincinnati Enquirer had Downey as the winner by a slight shade. Downey was the aggressor throughout, and appeared to have fooled Anderson by forcing the fighting. Downey punished Anderson severely with body blows, and mauled him with his left hand.
The Kentucky Post (Covington) had Anderson winning nine out of the ten rounds, feeling that Downey only won the first round.
