Araujo was knocked down in the 1st round by a right hand, but rallied to cut Blair under both eyes and bloody his nose, and floor him for an eight-count in the 3rd round. In the 4th round, Blair hurt Araujo with a left hook, and then dropped him for nine with the same blow, and again later in the round for a four-count. Araujo was rocked in the 5th and 6th rounds, and was hurt again in the 7th with a right hand, leading the referee to intervene.
