In a wild second round, Lee knocked Adonis down for a nine-count. Adonis then knocked Lee out of the ring with a shot to the button, as Lee was helped back into the ring by fans. Three seconds before the round was over, Adonis stretched Lee on the canvas with a low blow. The referee originally started a count, before changing his mind and giving Lee the bout on a foul.
