LaStarza knocked Haft down in the 4th round with a right to the jaw. Haft was up immediately, and stood with his hands at his side. Referee Martin feeling that Haft was defenseless, stopped the bout. Haft was disappointed with the stoppage, stating that in Europe where he was from, his reaction upon rising was consistent with the rules.
