Collins appeared to injure his right hand in the 5th round, and was then knocked down for a two-count after an exchange of punches. Collins rose, shaking his right hand, and fought much of the remainder of the bout one-handed. Though Collins won rounds after this, he was floored in the 10th round with three right hands and a short left. Collins got up at eight, and looking dazed, the bout was stopped.
