The January 1996 Ring reports on p. 56: "Initially, Fight Fax listed the Medina fight as having taken place on March 29, 1982. But after further research, marder discovered the bout actually occurred on October 19, 1981. He changed the date in teh '95 edition of The Boxing Record Book and deleted the prior entry. However, Chavez and King continue to list both bouts on their version of the record."
