"Lee Ramage, sensational young San Diego boxer, virtually wrote 'finis' to the boxing career of Ace Hudkins last night when he won ten consecutive rounds from the one-time Wildcat, to win the California State Heavyweight title. The Nebraska gladiator never had a chance as his youthful opponent pummeled him from start to finish without once letting up during the bout. When the bout ended Hudkin's nose was mashed, his mouth cut and bleeding, and generally in a state of disrepair. For a youngster, Ramage proved a cool boxer and keen judge of pace.
