- Date: 1938-01-10
- Location: Boston Garden, Boston, Massachusetts, USA
McCoy fought cautiously inside the long arms of Lenglet, as he nullified the attack of Lenglet who had knocked him out previously. Lenglet controlled the bout when it was fought outside, and hurt McCoy in the 8th round. The Boston Globe felt the decision was close, and noted that it was well received.
