Buck Everett beat Jack Roper by PTS in round 10 of 10
- Date: 1931-12-28
- Location: White City Arena, Chicago, Illinois, USA
Roper knocked Everett down once in the 3rd round, and twice in the 5th round. Roper was down in the 7th round, for no-count. The decision was a surprise to a minority of the crowd, according to the Chicago Tribune, who felt Roper had earned a draw. The Tribune felt that Everett's rally in the last three rounds gave him the decision.
