Schaaf elected to fight Winston on the inside from the beginning, though Winston rocked him in the first two rounds. Schaaf's body work began to take its toll on Winston in the 4th round, and in the 6th round he was hurt by a right uppercut to the heart. Shortly thereafter, Schaaf floored Winston with a right hand to the jaw. Winston rose, and attacked Schaaf, but ran into a body attack from Schaaf that finished him.
