Shucco got off to a slow start in the bout, failing to win any of the first five rounds, according to the Baltimore Sun. Shucco was bleeding freely by the 6th, but won the next three rounds, hooking with his left. Walker rallied in the 9th round, but lost it when the referee took the round away, due to a butt. Walker rallied in the 10th round, and the bout was even in the eyes of the Sun, but Shucco took the offensive and won the last two rounds handily. There was some disagreement with the decision, from the fans.
