• Date: 1928-10-05
• Location: Olympia Stadium, Detroit, Michigan, USA
• Referee: Elmer 'Slim' McClelland

Belanger troubled Latzo with his right hand early in the bout. Latzo was able to wake his way inside beginning in the 3rd round, and began to pummel Belanger to the body. Latzo found Belanger an easy target the rest of the way, though he had to stave off a rally from Belanger in the final round.
