Belanger won a close decision, according to the Detroit Free Press, who scored the bout 4-3-3 in rounds, and didn't give Lomski a round after the 4th. Belanger showed an accurate left jab, and a stinging right hand. Lomski was nearly floored three different times by Belanger's right hand, and shook several other times.
