Martin Burke beat Willie Meehan by PTS in round 15 of 15
- Date: 1920-07-05
- Location: Tulane Arena, New Orleans, Louisiana, USA
- Referee: Al Wambsgans
Despite the fact that he looked to be overweight, Meehan fought Burke on nearly even terms, showed a good punch, good speed afoot, was never fazed by any of Martin's blows, and showed no signs of tiring. He concentrated his attack on the body whereas Burke used jabs and rights to the head and this evidently caught the eye of Referee Al Wambsgans. It was a good fight.
