Mexican flyweight Ruben Contreras was taken to California Hospital Medical Center on Saturday night after suffering a seizure shortly after he quit during the sixth round of his scheduled eight-round bout.

Ringside physician Dr. Paul Wallace said Contreras complained of a headache after his fight against Brian Viloria ended, then had a seizure.

Wallace said Contreras was hospitalized for tests, with results not immediately available.
