Al Gainer 166 lbs beat Red Bruce 176 lbs by KO in round 7 of 10

According to the Pittsburgh Press, Bruce battered Gainer with hard punches throughout and had him hurt badly at the end of the fifth. Red had a sizable lead going into the seventh round. Al Weill, Gainer's manager, shouted "This is the round!" to his rattled fighter as the seventh began. Gainer proceeded to floor his heavier opponent three times, the last time for the count.
