Romero Rojas knocked Pound down one minute into the 1st round with a right hand to the jaw, and proceeded to pound him over the remainder of the round. In the 2nd round, Pound hurt Romero Rojas with a right hand to the head, and then put him down with the same punch. Romero Rojas took a four-count, and then was put down again with a barrage from both hands for a seven-count. Romero Rojas was helpless upon rising, and was then floored for the count.
