Fighting Harada 111 lbs lost to Pone Kingpetch 111 lbs by MD in round 15 of 15

"Thailand's Pone Kingpetch, 111 1/2, defeated Masahiko 'Fighting' Harada, 111, Saturday night and won back the world flyweight championship he lost to the Japanese boxer last October in Tokyo. In the Bangkok National Gymnasium, and cheered on by more than 15,000 partisan fans, the Thai idol staged a battling comeback during the last half dozen rounds for a 15-round majority decision and the crown. There was one knockdown in the 8th round when Harada smashed Pone down for a three-count. But Kingpetch got up as the bell ended the round. The first part of the fight saw Harada hold the advantage as he rocked Pone with left jabs and right crosses. But when Harada failed to follow up his advantage after the knockdown, Pone rallied. Cheers rocked the arena as Pone countered the 19-year-old Harada's rushing tactics with barrages of left jabs and an occasional uppercut - his best weapon." -Associated Press
