Flash Elorde 135 lbs beat Ismael Laguna 134 lbs by UD in round 10 of 10

"World junior lightweight champ Gabriel (Flash) Elorde floored Panama's Ismael Laguna twice here Saturday night as he blasted his way to a unanimous 10 round non-title decision before 30,000 hometown fans. Elorde caught Laguna with a left hook and a right cross that sent the Panamanian to the floor in the 4th round. It was the same combination that sent Laguna down again in the 9th. Laguna appeared aggressive during the first three rounds but after he was decked lost some of his zeal. Laguna's best rounds were the 6th and 7th. Elorde, however, came to life again in the 9th after fighting Laguna on even terms in the 8th." _United Press International.
