Bout Summary

"In the bout, Patterson showed some of amateurish nervousness - overly aggressive, flailing arms. Patterson leaped at Goldbold a few times, swung wildly, an did not pace himself. Nevertheless, he "flooded his game opponent's face with flashy combinations." Patterson floored Goldbold in both the second and third rounds. In the fourth, he hit Godbold with "a right and left to the jaw (that) sent Godbold sprawling half way out on the ring apron."
