Reyes wore a "Masked Marvel" mask into the ring. He was introduced by the ring announcer as being a former Golden Gloves champion from Mexico City making his pro debut. (His manager, Juan Garcia of SeaMar, later said this was not Reyes's pro debut.) He scored a knockdown early in the first round, with a heavy body blow to Briannes's liver. Briannes went down to one knee, and was unable to rise because of the pain--giving Reyes a TKO at 1:04. (Briannes had been introduced as having a 1-1-0 record.)
